Associate (Minimum 5 PQE)
Overview
An excellent opportunity to join a top-tier international firm, with high-level exposure to complex corporate transactions.
You will work with Partners across the GCC, supporting them and taking the lead on transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments, and corporate restructurings.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing commercially focused and strategic legal advice.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating principal transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and joint venture agreements.
- Managing due diligence processes and coordinating multi-jurisdictional teams and external counsel.
- Supervising and mentoring junior associates, trainees, and support staff.
- Advising on corporate governance, regulatory matters, and ongoing compliance issues.
- Supporting partners on business development initiatives, including client pitches and relationship management.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in Saudi Arabia – with additional admissions in other jurisdictions being desirable but not a requirement.
- 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience within a Magic Circle, US, or other leading international law firm.
- Strong track record of advising on complex corporate transactions, particularly M&A and private equity deals.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage transactions and supervise junior team members.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Experience working on cross-border matters is highly desirable.
